IPU prize 2025

In 2025, the theme of the IPU prize was “sustainability through technology development” and was awarded to Professor Tim McAloone from DTU Construct: For more than twenty-five years, Professor Tim McAloone has been at the forefront of developing and implementing solutions that enable Danish and international industries to transition toward circular and sustainable practices. His research bridges engineering design, life cycle thinking, and strategic innovation, resulting in concrete tools and methods adopted by major industrial companies such as Grundfos, Novo Nordisk, FLSmidth, Rockwool, Danfoss, and VELUX. Through these partnerships, he has consistently translated research into practice, advancing competitiveness and sustainability hand in hand.
